But, with all the bad news, the weather, the really bad health situations several of our church family right here are going through right now, along with other things, there is some really good news out there too! We received a letter from our brethren in Porter. They are getting involved in helping support “The Truth In Love” TV program in our area on KWHB TV47. They will be hosting an Evangelism Seminar on Saturday, Apr. 18th. to introduce Jason Sparks who is the director of this program. The “The Truth In Love” program is under the oversight of the Brown Trail congregation that also oversees the Brown Trail School Of Preaching. This program is NOT being aired in competition with In Search Of The Lord’s Way but in connection with it. It will be aired at 7:30 on Sunday mornings just before SEARCH at 8:00, of course, on a different channel. But, all will be able to watch both programs without any problems at all. This program is already being aired across the nation on GBN and also TV stations in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alaska. This will be an additional way of spreading the gospel of Christ throughout N.E. OK. If you can attend this seminar at Porter, I highly recommend being there.
Brethren, we will have a great opportunity to spread the gospel of Christ right here in our own community in just over 4 weeks. Our gospel meeting begins on Wednesday, Apr. 22nd. Flyers are available in the foyer and we will be mailing them out in the next couple of weeks to all our sister congregations in N.E.OK and to all the denominations in Wagoner as well. In addition, we are doing something very different this year in an effort to build fellowship and cooperation with congregations in our area. We are inviting a different congregation to bring men to lead our services every night, Wednesday through Saturday. So far, South College of Tahlequah/Wed. night and 29th & Yale/Fri. night. They will be providing the announcer, song leader and prayer leaders the service. Brethren, we are “ALL” the Lord’s church and this is the Lord’s gospel meeting. This is an opportunity to build good, working relationships with our brethren and, hopefully, we can accomplish some really good things with what we are trying to do with this.
Until next week, I love you all,
