Well, things sure did not turn out as I had them planned this past week.  Due to the prepping I had to do for some medical tests I had to cancel my trip to Oologah last Wednesday evening and, was not even able to attend services at all.  Fortunately, the Lord took care of things.  We already had Mark Everett scheduled to be here to teach so that was already taken care of.  In addition, Oologah was able to swap my presentation last Wednesday with one of the other men they had scheduled so I will still get to go present my lesson there. Now I am scheduled for Wednesday evening, July 22nd.  That is two Wednesday evenings I will be gone in July as I am to be at Tecumseh on July 8th.

I also want to thank all who were able to come and help with our display booth we had at the Heartland Bazaar a week ago Saturday.  We had a lot of help, we had a ton of materials displayed and given free of charge to all who were interested.  The attendance for the Bazaar as a whole was not all that good but we did have a couple of very good, very intense conversations.  But, one of the main things was that the name of the Lord’s church was out for all to see.  They all knew we were there and now know we are here, we are present in the Wagoner community.  I am fully convinced that there will be some good come out of our efforts last weekend.

Brethren, in putting together all the materials we used in our display at the Heartland Bazaar, I was amazed at how much really good materials we have available in the foyer of our building.  There are some really great study materials available there, materials that cover nearly every aspect of being a Christian.  There are magazines with great articles in them, brochures that cover many different topics and then special brochures that deal specifically with our congregation here, that deal with who and what the “churches of Christ” really are and then, some that provide some very basic Bible studies to bring one to Christ.  Question - how many of these have you read and studied?  How much use have you made of this great material to help yourself grow spiritually?  How many of these materials have you shared with your friends and neighbors to try to build their interest in becoming a Christian?  Our of the many, here are just 4 available to share.
