Just a quick question, how many of us here, in our congregation, are listening to our radio program? We put a lot of effort and time into putting it on the radio for everyone to listen to. It is on Okie Country 101.7 and plays right about 11:50 a.m. plus or minus a couple of minutes every day, Monday - Friday. It is obvious some cannot listen at that time because of being at work, having to do lunch or other things but, many of us can tune in for just a few minutes to hear the program. How many of your friends are you encouraging to listen to it? All of the lessons on Heart Talk are designed to raise questions in people’s minds, to perk their interest in what the Bible says about various topics. And, we encourage them to call us (the church) if they have any questions about what they are hearing on Heart Talk. Some say, well, I’m out of range and can’t pull up the station. If so, and you have a computer or ipad handy you can pull them up and listen live on line. Just pull up Okie Country 101.7 and click on the “listen” button and you can hear the program anywhere in the country. The whole point is, this can be a really good outreach tool for our congregation. We just need to get our friends and neighbors to listen to it if at all possible. If nothing else, it might just give a beginning point for you to talk to a friend or neighbor about Christ, about the church and the salvation of their soul. And, beginning this month (August) we will be offering free Bible Correspondence Courses to any and all who would like to have one. Once this gets started, we, hopefully, will be needing help in receiving, grading and returning these BCC’s. This is something anyone can do, old, young, male, female, it doesn’t matter because one is not teaching personally but simply grading papers, grading information taught by the writer of the courses and then returning it to the student along with the next lesson of the course. I am hoping this will really open some doors for us, especially in the Wagoner community.
But, these courses will not just be available on the radio program! If you know anyone who might be interested in taking one of these courses by mail, let us know and we will get started with them. Brethren, let’s do all we can to share the gospel of Christ.
Until next week, I love you all,
Dan
