Brethren, there are a lot of wonderful things taking place throughout the Lord’s church today. Brown Trail School Of Preaching in Bedford, TX just celebrated its 50th year of training preachers to preach the gospel of Christ. They have preachers preaching in 32 of our 50 states here in the U.S. and in numerous countries overseas. Bear Valley is training preachers here and overseas in several places and the church is growing rapidly in many places as a result of their efforts. For anyone who really wants to grow in their knowledge of the Bible, there are some good resources available. For instance, World Video Bible School in Maxwell, TX now offers a tuition free, 24/7 online Bible school to anyone who wants to study more. Enrollees are able to study at their own pace, according to their own schedule and, do it online. They already have over 3,500 people taking advantage of these special Bible studies. If you would like to check it out you can find it at school.wvbs.org. If you want to study more, we have many DVD’s available on different subjects. If you have a VHS player available, I have the original Jule Miller Videos available for you to watch. These are great lessons on the basics of the Bible and Christianity, on becoming a Christian and living as a Christian. My wife, Pam, and I have used these wonderful videos to convert several to Christ over the years.
The whole point here is that there are many ways for us to grow individually and collectively as a congregation. All that is needed is for us to get busy studying and learning God’s word so we can sit down and share His word with our family and friends. Brethren, we can’t teach something we don’t know. And, in this vein, we are needing more to step up and help with our teaching here in our congregation. We need Bible class teachers for nursery, middle school, high school, and adult classes. We have some now who are trying hard and doing a good job of teaching God’s word. But, Brethren, everyone needs a break, everyone needs time to sit in a class and learn and not spend all of their time teaching. The more people we have helping with the teaching, the better our classes will be. We all teach the same truth but, different people use different teaching styles. These changes in style and approach help keep our classes interesting and appealing to those attending. Please determine to make yourself an important part of all we are trying to do in our congregation here.
Until next week, I love you all,
