Dan & Sheila Parks - want to express their gratitude for some goods that were brought to their house for them. They were unable to get to the door but they were left on the porch and they deeply appreciate all that was brought.
Clinton Cooper - Our thanks to Clinton for coming up and spraying the church yard all over for weeds. He did this last week.
Reports posted - There are several reports posted on our bulletin board in the foyer.
WVBS sent a letter concerning their new “OnLine Bible school.” It is free and open to any and all that would like to study God’s word through it. It is available 24/7.
Donnie Bates’ newsletter for this month is also posted on the bulletin board. He has been and will be very busy. We are planning for him to be here and give us a report on his work Sunday evening, June 28th.
“SEARCH” program monthly letter is also posted for all to read. Good things still happening there also.
Nora Sutton - sent a note saying, “How much I miss all of you! Seems our prayers are being answered, the congregation is growing, God be praised. Give my love to all, you are in my prayers.
Hope Harbor - Has sent “Change Cans” for any and all that would like to use this means of helping them care for all the children they work with through their efforts there. The cans are on the table in the foyer.
Finally, I want to express my thanks and appreciation to Frank Everett, Neil Rice and Doug Kelly for the way they stepped up and helped out with services last Sunday when I got sick and had to leave. It is really great to have men who are so willing to do whatever they can to help the church in any way possible. I began preaching part-time 49 years ago (fall of 1966) at Maud, OK. In all of my years I have never got sick in any way during a service of the Lord’s church - until last week, that was a first AND hopefully, a “last!”. I really appreciate all the prayers and calls of concern by our church family here.
Brethren, as you can see, we have a ton of things happening in our congregation. Some really good things, some that are not good as in the health struggles many are having at this time. But, as you have heard many times, it is NOT what is happening that matters, it is how you deal with it! We are all going to have hard, difficult times come our way. But, with God’s help we will deal with it all in a good way. In both, bad times and good times, we need to keep the words of the apostle Paul close to our hearts. Of course I am referring to Philippians 4:13 where Paul said, “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me!”
Until next week, I love you all,
Dan
