Of course, beginning one week from this Wednesday, there will be a short break from all of our Bible classes as we begin our gospel meeting Wednesday evening, April 22nd. For that Wednesday and the following Sunday all of our Bible classes will meet in the auditorium for our lessons on Jesus Christ, the Son of God and what He went through for us on that cruel cross of Calvary. We are going to take a really deep look in to Christ, into His nature, His character and see Him for Who and What He really is as our Savior who died for us. I hope you will do everything in your power to invite your friends and neighbors to this special series of meetings about Christ. Flyers are available in the foyer for you to pass out to everyone you can. We will have a small ad in our local newspaper this week announcing the meeting and then a 1/4 page ad showing our flyer that will come out the day our meeting begins.
We need to all seriously think about our plans to attend every session of this meeting. Think about it this way, if it is not important enough for me to sacrifice and attend every session, why should anyone else sacrifice to be there? How embarrassing would it be to invite a friend or neighbor and they come and I’m not there?
The whole point is this, here is an opportunity to show all of our friends and neighbors how important Christ is to us. This is our opportunity to show the world around us that Christ is, indeed, the center of our lives, to show them that He is the most important thing in this world to us. This is our opportunity to show the world that we don’t just preach Matthew 6:33, we practice it - “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
Until next week, I love you all,
Dan
