We all know what the Bible says and want to live it out in our lives. But, in times like these we can get too tired, so frustrated that we tend to either forget or, just not think about what the Bible says. For instance, one of the verses we may really need in difficult times is Romans 8:28 where it says, “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Now, notice, Paul did not say all things will be good but that all things “work together for good.” In other words, whatever happens, no matter how bad things may seem to be, God can and will bring some good out of it one way or another. What kind of good? It may be the strengthening of our faith, it may be the strengthening of someone else’s faith. People watch us and when they see how we deal with difficult circumstances it may bring them closer to the Lord specifically because of what they see in us. But, good came out of it!
Another verse we talk about quite a bit is Philippians 4:13 where Paul says, “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me!” This is another one we may forget about in really difficult times. But, this verse is solid truth. No matter how hard or difficult things may get, if we will put our full trust in God, He will give us the strength to get through it one way or another. Now, He never said it would be easy, just that He will get us through it. Sometimes we need to just sit back and let God take care of things and then, sometimes we need to get up and go, get up and work on the problem trusting God to help us find and do the right thing.
Brethren, I believe God! Have I always trusted Him as I should? No! I have failed Him at times just as we all have. But, let’s all work together, be there for each other, stand with each other, pray for each other and the Lord will help us accomplish some great things!
Until next week, I love you all,
Dan
