To start with, God created this world and this universe in which we live. He gave us the sun, moon, air and all that works together to give us what we need to live, to survive. But, all these physical elements are subject to the gravity, moisture, heat, cold and all other things that exist in this world as well. Those things work together to provide our rain, warmth and other things we need to survive but, they also react to each other at times also as when we have heavy rainstorms, winds and even tornados here in Oklahoma. Add to all this the tremendous moisture available over the ocean and its surrounding areas and bad things are going to form at times. It is just a part of living in this world. Times change, seasons change, the weather changes, life changes. But, with all of this, we can know there are some things in this world that do not, will not ever change. What are these things?
- GOD - ”For I, the LORD, do not change;” (Mal. 3:6).
- Jesus - ”Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Heb. 13:8).
- The Bible - ”Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away” (Matt. 24:35).
- God’s love - “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases.” (Lam. 3:22).
We will all face hard times, difficult times and, even dangerous times in our physical lives in this world. We must all remember and focus on the fact that God loves and cares for us and He has promised that He will be with us through it all regardless of how good or how bad things might be. “...for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you.” (Heb. 13:5). God has also promised that no matter what we face, He will bring some good out of it in one way or another. “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” (Rom. 8:28). So, when facing all the bad that this world throws at us, please keep Psalms 46:1-3 in your thoughts. “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; Though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains quake at its swelling pride.”
Until next week, I love you all,
