Then, once we have all our plans in place for next year, we can set down and plan the budget needed to accomplish all these things. That is scheduled for Saturday, November 21st beginning at 8:30 a.m. This will allow us to have all these things in place as we begin the new year on January 1st.
Brethren, we really need everyone’s input for these sessions. It doesn’t matter how old or how young, male or female, if you are a part of our church family here, your ideas are just as important as anyone else’s. Now, we won’t be able to do everything everyone suggests, at least right now, but, we can look to the future. Maybe start planning and working now to accomplish something in 2017 or 2018. There are some things that take a lot of advance planning to do. But, if they are never planned, they never happen. So I encourage you to get your “Dream Sheet” and fill it out. Put down the things you would like to see accomplished by this congregation here in the church and in our community.
Brethren, in all of this, let us not forget the number one goal, the number one purpose for all of this, saving souls for eternity! It is not about being popular, it is not about building or having big crowds, it is about saving souls for heaven. Everything we do, everything we plan must be centered on our God and our Savior, Jesus Christ. We must remember what Jesus told the crowd in Matthew 6:33 where he said, “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.” If we are truly putting the Lord first and seeking to build His kingdom He will help us and bless our efforts. We must let all of our neighbors and friends see the love of God for them in our lives. They must see us doing all we can to be pleasing to God both as individuals and collectively as the Lord’s church.
Until next week, I love you all,
Dan
