Another one of the big things we have coming up very shortly is our Gospel Meeting with Allen Everett! We will have flyers ready to be passed out and mailed out in the next few days. By the last week of this month we will have flyers, envelopes and lists of addresses we will need help with to mail flyers and invitations to all of our sister congregations here in N.E. OK and to all the denominations here in Wagoner. Plus, all will have flyers to take home with you to pass out to all your neighbors in your neighborhood or to take to any special events you may be going to. Some will say, “Well, they won’t come anyway, why do it?” It is true, the vast majority invited will not come but will anyone come if they are never invited to begin with? Can they attend something they don’t even know is happening? If just one soul is brought to Christ, will that be worth all the effort? ABSOLUTELY!!!!! We must do our part! So, what is “our” part? To do what we just talked about - letting everyone we possibly can know about it and know they are invited to this special effort and, then to pray hard about it. Pray for God’s help and intervention. Pray for brother Everett as he prepares the lessons, pray for us as a congregation that we can and will do our part. Pray all who come will be encouraged and strengthened spiritually, pray that we will be strengthened as a congregation of the Lord’s church. Then, will all this, insure we set the example for all around of the importance of what is happening by insuring we do not miss a single service of this special effort. Now, we will have some who will not be able to attend every service due to circumstances beyond their control but, for all of us who have a choice, that choice should be to put God first and show the world around us that God is first in our lives. Brethren, this is a special effort given us by God! The question is, are we going to take advantage of it or not? If we work and do our part, God will bless what we do. Good will come from it one way or another.
Brethren, it is never too early to begin working, planning and sharing the news of a special effort like this. With the Lord’s help, it will be a great time of spiritual growth and spiritual and physical fellowship.
Until next week, I love you all,
Dan
