Also - A big “Thank You” to John Deatherage for all the hand painted fans he has put out in our auditorium, many of them personalized. He is obviously a great artist and he and Georgia donated all these fans to the church here. I encourage you to just walk around and look at them, they are with the song books on the back of the pews. And, let John and Georgia know how much you appreciate his work with all this.
Brethren, I don’t know if you look at, read them or not but, there are always reports on the bulletin board of various works taking place in support of the Lord’s church. Some deal with foreign mission works, some with Children’s homes, others with works and materials that are available for use within the church whether local or foreign. Right now there are reports from Tipton’s Children’s Home, Utah Mission work, World English Institute, Bear Valley School of Preaching and World Bible School on the bulletin board in the foyer. In spite of all the bad things happening in our world today, there are still a lot of good works taking place through, by means of, the Lord’s church all around the world. Some of these we are a part of, some of them we are not but, it is still the work of the church. Brethren, we need to keep all of these special efforts to spread the Gospel, the Good News of Christ in our prayers on a regular basis.
In addition to the above, there is also a flyer for the upcoming “Affirming The Faith” seminar at the
N. MacArthur congregation in OKC on Saturday, Feb. 27th on the bulletin board plus smaller flyers on the table with a listing of all the speakers and classes in them. There are some great classes and key note addresses that take place at this special event. There will also be special classes for ladies given. Lord willing, Pam and I plan to go up Friday for me to attend a special session for preachers and then Pam and I will attend the ‘Preachers and Elders” dinner which is followed by a special key note session Friday evening. If any of you can be there Saturday for this special event, it will really be worth your time and effort.
Until next week, I love you all,
Dan
