God has promised that He will be there for us, to help us get through the bad things. He tells us in Hebrews 13:5, “...I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you!” Our God cares about what is happening to us, He cares about the things we are facing in this world and He knows all the Devil is doing to turn us away from Him. But, with all this, God will not force us to serve Him, force us to put Him first in any way. It is our choice.
Do you want God in your life? Do you want to go to heaven for eternity? Do you want to have the best life one can live in this world right now? Then you must turn to God, put Him first and serve Him above everything in this world. How do we do that, Paul tells us in his letter to the brethren in the church at Philippi where he says, “Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you” (Philippians 4:8-9).
Brethren, contrary to what a majority of the world believes, hell and its eternal fire is real and will happen at the end of time. Heaven and its glories are real and will happen at the end of time. God has given us, given you, our lives right now for the express purpose of choosing which of these will be our eternity. If we will listen to God, believe in Him to the point we obey Him with all of our heart then, heaven will be ours for eternity. To fail to do this in any way means we have chosen an eternity in hell. As you are right now, which have you chosen for yourself?
Until next week, I love you all,
Dan
