Another very important item that was discussed in our meeting last month was the possibility of replacing our radio program with the House to House; Heart to Heart mail out. While we have had a few good reports on our radio program, we have not had a single person visit with us as a result of it. Of course the radio program is out of Muskogee and on one of the more popular radio stations but, we have no idea how many people actually listen to our program. With the Heart to Heart program, there will be direct mail outs to approximately 1300 specific addresses right here in Wagoner and, not just in Wagoner but they will all be centered here on the east side of town circumventing the location of our building. Think about it, over 1300 people all within a mile or less of our facility. And, the big thing is, it is going to cost us about 30% less than the radio program. Please put this new program in your prayers. Pray that we will be able to reach out to those right here in our community with the truth of God’s word in a wonderful and successful way.
While we were in our meeting the men also approved me taking a week’s vacation beginning on Thursday, March 24th and going through Wednesday, March 30th. This will enable Pam and me to both be with our daughter, Christie, while she undergoes her surgery and be there to help care for our three grandkids while she is in the hospital. So, Lord willing, I will be gone Sunday, March 27th and Wednesday evening, March 30th. We will need someone to fill in for me on both of these days.
It has been really encouraging to see the number of our church family that have been turning out to watch the “Searching For Truth” videos we have been watching on Wednesday evenings. John Moore really does a great job in teaching these various lessons. Our video for this coming Wednesday evening will be “Searching for Truth About The House of God”. Remember, these DVD’s are available to all who want them in the foyer free of charge. Use them to share the gospel of Christ with your friends and or family.
Until next week, I love you all,
Dan
