Brethren, we are receiving good reports already from this effort of reaching out to the Wagoner community. We currently have two Bible Correspondence Courses taking place as a direct result of these mailouts. In fact, we will be needing some help in working with the Bible Correspondence courses. I am doing them right now but, this is something that others could be working with. If you are interested in working with this please let me know and we will set up a time to go over exactly how to grade, return and continue to encourage those participating in the BCC program. This is a great way of being able to spread the gospel of Christ, to encourage others to truly study the Bible and seek salvation for their souls. We also do all of this at no cost to the person participating. We mail them the course and include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for them to use to mail the question/answer sheet back to us. We want to make it as easy as possible for these people to study God’s word. Hopefully, they will want to attend one of our services and worship with us. That will give us an opportunity to meet them personally and build a personal relationship with them.
We must never forget our work, our responsibilities as Christians. What did Christ tell His disciples they were to do? “19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:19-20). How do we “make disciples”? By teaching them the gospel of Christ! Once they become Christians what are we to do? Verse 20 - Teaching “them” those who have just been baptized, to observe all that Christ said, all He commanded. Brethren, we have a start! What are we going to do with it? What are you going to do with it?
Until next week, I love you all!
